Lesson Plan 3
10/20/20
Teachers: Jess (Main Teacher) and Ana (Assistant)
Big idea: Human Emotion
Project Description: Personal Picture Frame
In lesson plan #3, students will create a picture frame for the artwork they’ve been working on from lesson plan #1 and #2. Students will create a picture frame that includes a visual detail or design that reflects the emotion they were expressing from the previous two lesson plans.
Essential Understanding:
Students will be asked to think back to the emotion they initially referred to in the previous two lessons. In reflecting on that emotion, they’ll be asked to refer to the specific event or subject that made them feel that emotion. They'll use a specific subject within that memory to create a specific design for their picture frame.
Inquiry/Learning Target/Objectives:
Students will be able to create a frame for their artworks out of paper. Students will be able to create a visual design from a personal subject. Students will be able to see how they can use something personal in their lives as an interesting visual design. Students will be able to place their emotions to specific experiences.
